Viewing payment details
You can view details for each payment either by clicking on the transaction or the three dots at the end of every transaction line and clicking on View Payment Details as shown below.
This will open the following page with detailed information for the chosen transaction.
Transaction history
- Channel: This displays which payment method / channel was used to complete the transaction. You will see the following information in relation to most payments:
- Bank transfer (NIFT ePay): When the transaction has been completed by NIFT it will be labeled as bank channel
- Payfast: When the transaction has been completed by Payfast, it will be labeled Payfast channel
- Method: This will be a redacted reference to your paying customer's bank account number. For privacy reasons, we do not expose this information to you.
- Request ID: This is the unique identifier that ties each event to a tracker. Use this along with the tracker when contacting support with problems with payments.
- Amount: Amount of the transaction.
- Service: Status of the transaction. This is data provided to us by the relevant payment channel.
- Description: Description of the service.
User Details
- ID: This is the unique identifier of the user that made the purchase. Use this with the tracker when contacting support with user related issues like fraud, or payment issues.
- Email: Customer email address they have provided to Safepay.
- Contact number: Customer phone number they have provided to Safepay.
Payment Details
- ID: This is the unique identifier of the user that made the purchase. Use this with the tracker when contacting support with user related issues like fraud, or payment issues.
- Reference Code: Payment code for Safepay internal tracking. Use this with the tracker when contacting support with user related issues like fraud, or payment issues.
- Amount: Gross amount of the payment in the relevant currency the customer has been charged in. Currently this is USD or PKR.
- Forex Rate: Foreign exchange rate that was applied. Currently your customers can only pay you using Safepay in PKR.
- Converted Amount: Amount in PKR following application of forex rate.
- Fee: Safepay fees paid.
- Net: Amount received by merchant net of Safepay fees.
- Date: Date of transaction.
Payment method
Bank: This is the financial institution from which your customer has made payment to you. This will usually be a recognisable acronym.
Payment activity
- This screen gives you detailed information on the payment made to you by your customer. This includes a timeline of interaction points between your customer and Safepay.
- Please provide us with token details in relation to a transaction for us to be able to investigate any transaction further.
