- The chosen discount type will be applied to the total amount.
- Currency
- Select the currency for the discount from the list of currencies supported by Safepay.

- Specify the percentage or fixed value of the discount.
- For example, a "10%" value in the percentage-based option applies a 10% discount to the total amount.

C. Once a discount is created, it will appear on the discounts page. Over there you can choose to enable, disable, or archive any discount that you want from there. You can click on the Three dots to edit or delete any discount.
D. How to Apply a Flat Discount with Safepay?
Safepay now makes it easy to offer a flat discount, which means the discount applies to all transactions without any restrictions based on BIN numbers. Here's how to set it up:
Click on any Disocunt rule that you have created and then simply: Enable the Flat Discount Toggle
Example: You want to encourage online card payments by offering a 5% discount on all paid orders to reduce the cash-on-delivery (COD) rate.
Important Disclaimer: Once the flat discount is enabled, it’s active and ready for use. All transactions will now reflect this discount without requiring additional configurations.
E. How to Create BIN-Based Discounts
What is a BIN-Based Discount?
A BIN-based discount is a type of card-specific discount that applies only to transactions made using certain debit or credit cards. The BIN refers to the first six digits of a card number, which identify the issuing bank.
Step 1: Create a Discount Scheme
- In Discount section click on Card Schemes section in your Safepay dashboard.
- Click on Create Scheme and define a range of BIN numbers that you want to apply the discount to.
- Save your scheme after entering the BIN ranges.
Here’s how to create and use BIN-based discounts:
Example: Add BIN numbers such as 990022, 990023, 990024, and 990025 for HBL cards.
Now lets link this to exsiting Discount Rule by going to Discount V2 Tab and then on detail page lets link this Card scheme
Select the Card Scheme that we create and save the discount
F. Once a discount is enabled, any transaction that a paying customer makes with any of the card schemes that have been allowed, will see the discount applied on checkout.
- Once your customer makes a discounted transaction on your website, it will appear like this (shown below) on your dashboard along with all the details in the payments detail section
Note:
- If more than one discount is enabled, discount with the highest value will be applied.
- Discounts can be applied to any of the currencies supported by the Safepay dashboard.
